CM SEO is my company name and I am CathyM on many forums. This blog is for me to write about tools I have used in business that may be useful to you as well. I do search engine optimization, search engine marketing and performance marketing.  Although I have worked for several large clients in the past, I currently focus on my own websites because I love the flexibility and challenge of developing my own sites without the worry of affecting someone elses business. 

I have a degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. I have worked in the computer field for my entire career.  I built my first website in 1996 and studied search engine optimization to achieve high rankings.  That success was a contributing factor to the growth of my EDI business and later sale to a large network.  I continued to do some computer consulting and EDI work and began doing affiliate marketing in 2005.
